Frequently asked questions
FAQ
Short, honest answers to the questions we get about Rhealiz, the evidence standard, and the launch.
What is Rhealiz?
- Rhealiz is developing personalized, periodized gut-microbiome programmes. Instead of one generic supplement for everyone, the programme starts with an orientation based on your profile, runs in three-month cycles, and is recalibrated at planned reassessments. The product is under development; a founding waitlist is open at rhealiz.com.
How is Rhealiz different from a standard probiotic?
- A standard probiotic is a single product picked off a shelf and repeated unchanged. Rhealiz is a programme: an initial orientation based on your profile and goals, a directed starting point, then reassessments at set intervals to adjust what comes next. The difference is the structure of the journey, not a promised effect.
Why does the exact strain designation matter?
- Because clinical results belong to a precise strain, not a species. “Lactobacillus rhamnosus” is a species; “Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG” is the strain actually tested in trials. Effects observed with one strain do not transfer to another strain of the same species. A label without the full designation cannot be connected to any study.
Do probiotics work?
- The honest answer depends on the strain, the population, and the indication. A meta-analysis (Szajewska & Kołodziej, 2015, doi:10.1111/apt.13404) shows Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG reduces antibiotic-associated diarrhoea in children, while the same analysis finds no significant effect in adults. Most products on sale have never been tested for what their label suggests. That is exactly why Rhealiz applies a strain-by-strain evidence standard.
How does Rhealiz select strains?
- Three filters, described on our evidence-standard page: published human data for the exact strain (full designation, not just the species); results read in the relevant population; and trials judged on their pre-specified primary endpoint, not the abstract's conclusion. The strain-to-study mapping will be published at launch, DOI by DOI.
Does Rhealiz provide medical advice?
- No. The Rhealiz orientation is not a diagnosis, a consultation, or medical advice. If your questionnaire answers suggest a situation that belongs with a physician, we say so explicitly and direct you to consult one. Rhealiz never replaces a healthcare professional.
When will Rhealiz be available?
- The product and programme are under development. The founding waitlist provides priority launch updates and a chance to help shape what launches. Signing up takes two minutes at rhealiz.com, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Where is the evidence behind Rhealiz?
- Our evidence-standard page describes the standard we apply — strain designation, population specificity, primary endpoints — with primary sources and their DOIs. At launch, every selected strain will ship with its documentation: the study, the population, the result. Where evidence is weak or absent, we will write that.
These answers describe how Rhealiz works and published science; they are not medical advice and make no health claim. The product and programme are under development.
